Arenal in Seville, Spain provides the perfect opportunity to catch a bullfight, rent a pedal boat, spend a night at the opera, or explore the naval history of Seville inside the landmark Torre Del Oro and many more.

A main port of the world

During the 16th and 17th centuries, Arenal accommodated one of the most significant ports of the world and remnants of Arenal's characteristic port ambiance of the bygone days gets best reflected through the Reales Atarazanas (Royal Shipyards).

The Maestranza bullring in the Arenal district is the most beautiful bullfighting venue in the world. Just behind the Teatro de la Maestranza one happens to come across the tiled façade of the Hospital de la Caridad which continues to serve as a hospice for the elderly and is a spectacular example of Seville's brilliant baroque period.

To experience the genuine flavor of the fascinating Seville culture one can check out the schedule of the immensely popular Maestranza Theater, constructed for the 1992 Exposition. Without a visit to the Museo Taurino, the Maestranza's museum the tour to Arenal in Seville remains incomplete.

Another great little museum in the Arenal district is the Museo Naval, housed within the Torre Del Oro.
