Beaches of Zahara de los Atunes - Coast of Light, Cadiz

The 8 km long beach of Zahara de los Atunes, one of the biggest tourist attractions on the coast of Cadiz, is part of the Andalusian Costa de la Luz and was awarded a white flag by the European Union.

Year upon year more houses and hotels are built near this wide beach with its crystal clear water and golden sand, due to its proximity to the countryside and mountains.

Beaches of Zahara de los Atunes y Atlanterra

A beautiful sunset on the beach of Zahara de los Atunes.

This spacious beach with fine, golden sand and cristal clear waters is just over 6km in length and spans from Zahara to el Cabo de Plata. It is ideal for windsurfing and diving and offers a wide range of services.

Playa Cabo de Plata (Playa de los Alemanes)

This superb cove is 1.5km in length and is between cabo de Plata and cabo de Gracia. It is a place for nudists and is also suitable for diving.

Playa Arroyo del Cañuelo

Arroyo del Cañuelo, a wonderful beach in Zahara de los Atunes.

This small unspoilt cove, 500m in length, is to the east of cabo de Gracia and has a pine forest that reaches the beach. It is suitable for diving but is difficult to access because of its location in the military area.

Playa de Canillos y Pajares

This unspoilt beach, 9km in length, is in the military area. It continues from playa del Carmen in Barbate to Zahara de los Atunes in front of la Sierra de Retin. It has fine golden sand and crosses the river Cachon.
