Chipiona beaches, CÁDIZ

Introduction:

This is a traditional summer holiday location for families of Seville upon whom it has relied for the last few decades. Regla, Camarón Tres piedras, Cruz del Mar – its varying and unbeatable beaches stay in the memories of many of its visitors.

The beaches at Chipiona have been awarded the Blue Flag for Clean Beaches since 1989, Regla Beach being the first to receive the award. The beaches of Canteras and of Cruz del Mar subsequently received the award in 1993.

This year, the beach of Camarón Beach was added to this list of Europe’s priveleged beaches.

Lighthouse of Chipiona, the biggest of Spain.

Nothing which the sea can offer is missing from this location, from fish to seafood, to seafront accomodation to the ideal setting for every type of nautical activity or pleasure activity.

Beaches of Chipiona:

Montijo / Costa de la Grajuela beach, Chipiona.

El Montijo Beach:Montijo beach is one of the most rocky in the region, stones mixed with white sand, which give it a rustic feel which is very enjoyable for horseriding, or participating in any sport.

Cruz del Mar Beach: A much visited beach with all necessary services located in the southern part, close to the Port of Chipiona, where all of the usual stocks of fish can be found.

Canteras Beach: Canteras Beach, located on the Chipiona Lighthouse, has a rocky substructure of great natural beauty used as a sort of “fish-pen”, and where it is not recommended to go swimming due to its rocks, it is ideal for snorkelling.

Regla Beach: A cosmopolitan beach, situated right in the urban centre of Chipiona, next to the Monastery of Nuestra Señora de Regla, with a large range of freetime activities, which has been awarded the Blue Flag.

Camarón/Tres Piedras Beach: Sandy beach with a large range of services facilities available for public use where all manner of sports can be practised such as windsurfing, sailinf, golf, jogging… (Recently awarded the Blue Flag)
