Chiclana has large beaches with a variety of available services, beaches in their natural condition, with dunes, pine woods and very pretty cliffs. There are also suitable settings for scuba diving, windsurfing and fishing.

The most important beaches of Chiclana are "La Barrosa" and "Sancti Petri", which are situated 7 kilometres from the urban centreand they constitute both an important natural and tourist resource. que se encuentran a 7 kilometros del casco urbano y constituyen un importante recurso tanto turístico como natural. After these two beaches one can also consider the "Isla y Castillo de Sancti Petri", where, according to legend, the Phoenician temple dedicated to Melkart (Hércules) was built.

Sancti Petri Beach, Chiclana de la Frontera

This is a fantastic beach for windsurfing, above all close to the fishing port where spectacular wind currents form between this beach and the beach of Castillo. It is in the residential area and is well suited for scuba diving and fishing. It is 2 kilometres long and its northeast extreme is in the leisure harbour. There is a windsurfing club in the port of Sancti-Petri.

La Barrosa Beach:

Una playa en chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz

A very popular beach, and very much recommended for the comforts of its plentiful and varied services and facilities, as well as the quality of the sands. It is 6 kilometres from the urban centre and it occupies 8 kilometres of the Atlantic coast with its clean beaches. It has two distince parts: one urban (with all manner of services), and another less developed, more natural part. Barrosa beach was awarded Blue Beach status for clean beaches in Europe when the award was founded, and was also awarded the Environmental certificate for Environmental Management accoring to ISO norm 14001 in 2002.

Punta de Piedras Beach:

Playa Punta de Piedras, Chiclana de la Frontera.

This is an undeveloped beach, with dunes, coastal pine forests and very pretty cliffs.

Puerco Beach:

El Puerco beach, Chiclana de la Frontera

This beach is a continuation of Barrosa Beach, although very different as there are scarcely any facilities here. It is protected by small cliffs with staircases for acces to the beach.
