Playas de Conil - Costa de la Luz, Cádiz Conil de la Frontera can be found along a flat coastline bathed in the waters of the Atlantic, southeast from Cadiz city on the Costa de la Luz.![]() Conil’s beaches are very varied. There are large scale beaches, but also coves appropriate for naturism. In all, there are 14 kilometres of fine and golden sands and clear, crystalline waters. It could be said that Conil, where the white, attractive villages mix in with the charms of the fishing villages, is an ideal place for a vacation at any time of the year, although the summer is most attractive due to the diversity of locations for all tastes and atmospheres, which are not just national, but not completely international either. Conil has also preserved its Andalucian character , with its cobbled streets, its small, inexpensive bars and terraces and an open air market on weekends. In addition, there are great opportunities to enjoy water sports in Conil. Surfing/Windsurfin in Conil ![]() ![]() Conil Beaches Roche Beach: A large beach and excellent sands located in a tranquil area of family homes which has limited facilities for use by the public. Poniente Coves: Poniente Coves are actually six untouched coves of smaller sizes: Encendida Cove, Aspero Cove, Pato Cove, Medina Cove and Frailecillo Cove, all of which are of great beauty where naturism is possible, although not offically sanctioned. These coves are sheltered under cliffs of a red hue which characterise this area of the coastline.Encendida Cove is the first of the Poniente Coves, and the most popular due to the ease of access. |

Frailecillo Cove is the last of the Poniente Coves and also the smallest. It is accessible on foot and has many rocks very suitable for rod fishing.![]() Aceite Cove: This is a cove of fine sands and turquoise waters sheltered from the winds of the area by several cliffs and is accessible by several staircases. Quinto and Camacho coves: The coves known as Quinto Coves are three coves of reducing size called Melchor Cove, Pitones Cove and Sudario Cove, all of which are in the middle of natural surroundings and cordered by stretches of red earth where naturism is permitted.Melchor Cove is accessible via a small walkway which is on the esplanade leading from the car park. Pitones Cove differs from the others in that it is difficult to access. Camacho cove has a large amount of algae and rock, making bathing there difficult. Fuente del Gallo Beach: This beach is covered by a steep cliff where the sands disappear completely during high tide and as a reult is suitable for widsurfing. Fontanilla Beach: This is a rustic beach of varying size depending on the tide, which has a large amount of services and facilities available to the public. Los Bateles Beach: This beach is located opposite Conil de la Frontera where a large amount of facilities are available, and is highly recommended for windsurfing. Castilnovo Beach: Castilnovo Beach is an untouched, slightly wild beache where the waves and wind can be very strong, ideal for windsurfing. |
